Barb Lien

Barbara Lien was a founding member of the influential online pop-culture magazine Sequential Tart, which won an Eagle award. She has also written for various other websites on comics, manga, and popular culture, and she served a one-year stint as the managing editor of the Eisner-award-winning print magazine Comic Book Artist (one of the Eisner awards it’s won was for that year). She also adapted a few dozen volumes of manga and manhwa. Aside from Gun Street Girl, she co-wrote the creator-owned graphic novel, Half Dead, co-published by Marvel Comics/Dabel Brothers Productions.  More recently, a short story she wrote was in Trent Zelazny’s anthology Mirages: Tales from Authors of the Macabre, and her prose novel Something More Than Blood was accepted by the small-press publisher Black Curtain Press, and will come out later this year.
