Ruth Perkinson

RuthStyleWeekly_ScottElmquist “How does it differ…hmmm. It doesn’t really. I write as if I am adding my voice to the arsenal of knowledge and pontification that already exists. Nothing separates me from anyone else. It’s just my word choice and the way I say it.” — Ruth Perkinson, about writing Spirit Home

Ruth Perkinson lives in Richmond, Virginia and is a student of A Course in Miracles. She meets with her study group each Monday night at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Glen Allen. Through her life experiences as a teacher, a spiritual seeker (and finder), and an advocate for the underdog, Perkinson has written six books. Her latest is Spirit Home and Bedazzled Ink is happy to be sharing in the experience with her. With a degree in English Education from Virginia Commonwealth University, she also guides a writers’ group called the Featherstone Writers. When she isn’t working part-time at St. Thomas’ Church, she is writing, dog walking or meditating on thoughts that inspire her. One dream is getting a movie made about her second book, Piper’s Someday. The story about a young girl, a dog, and the journey of a lifetime.
