About the Book
Noora is an Australian indigenous girl who lives in mission school stolen from her people. Noora is treated like a number and is told how lucky she is being part of the civilized life. Noora doesn’t remember much, but she remembers the myths her mother told her and the songs her mother sang. She remembers the names of the animals, and how to talk to them in the friendliest of ways. When an opportunity comes, she escapes to look for her three guardians who can help her find a way back home, just as her mom told in her dreams.
